What is a fair distribution of rent between 2 singles and a couple?

Two single people and a couple I know are trying to work out living arrangements between the 4 of them, and have asked me for advice. One of the singles is requesting the master bedroom (which isn't larger but has a walk-in closet and personal bathroom the other rooms lack) while the rent distribution remains 25% for each person. The couple requests the master bedroom or else they only feel like they should pay 40% of the rent with 50% of the utilities. The third person has no opinion. What do you guys think? 1. who ever occupies the larger area should pay more, now you need to work out that % more but large closet plus your own bathroom has to pay more its only logical then split everything else equally as four not 2 and 1 couple but four people and wear and tear on the unit
2. I'd say split everything equally by 4...
3. Measure it. The common area is divided by 4, the private area is allocated. If the single guy gets 300 sq ft. private use while the couple gets 100, he pays 3 times what the two of them pay together. He also gets 1/4 of the fridge. Utilities are 25% each.
4. I say the couple should pay 50% of the rent since there are two people in the couple. Maybe the person requesting the private bath should pay more for water than the others since that person doesn't have to share a bathroom.
5. How many bedrooms does this place have? If the place only has three bedrooms, than the couple should get the master bedroom, since they are two people in one room. The rent should be split four ways, with the couple paying two fourths. If the Azz that wants the master bedroom is persistent, than they should pay more and not just an extra 10%, they should have to pay an extra 25%, 10% of each of the couples rent, because they are forcing them to cram into a small area made for one, and 5% more than the other one, because they are getting more room and a nicer living area than them. Personally the person that wants the master, when there is a couple involved, is a real, jerk - off and I would just give them the boot and find someone more reasonable!
