What would have been the impact of globalization in india if there is no concept of huge software outsourcing?
The economical growth in india is only due to software outsourcing. I just want to know how it would have been {Globalization} minus {computer software technology} . The above state gives us only manufacturing outsourcing. Would it be possible to attain atleast 1/10th of the present growth?

- India has 300 million middle class people. The highest in the world. Believe me when those outsourced people's children graduate college, India's educated can be a force to be reckoned with. The smartest kids in the world are concentrated in India. The fortune 500 companies will hire their best from India before they go to Harvard and Yale graduates. By the way, I am not Indian.
- This is a really strange question... How do you estimate the impact of thunder if there is no concept of lightning? The Indian software industry was one of the first to embrace globalization; without it, the BPO industry may or may not have developed the way it did, and software offshoring may or may not have happened. This said, software is far from the only Indian export. Textiles, gems, industrial equipment, chemicals, and leather still remain major Indian exports.
